Is Barefoot Beach in Bonita Beach open? ›

Barefoot Beach Preserve is open.

Dogs are not allowed but there is a nice beach for dogs nearby where they can be on or off leash.

There's a lot to like about Barefoot Beach, including: Location: 342 acres surrounded by two bays on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. Perfect for many activities, such as fishing, swimming, water sports and nature watching (such as manatees, dolphins, and tortoises)

Barefoot Beach Access is located 20 feet off Bonita Beach Road on Lely Barefoot Boulevard the access provides an open, peaceful location for sunbathers. Barefoot Beach Preserve Park is located just South of this access point. Just North is Bonita Beach Park.

The sale and service of all alcoholic beverages is regulated by the state of Florida. The Club at Barefoot Beach is responsible for the safe consumption of and service of alcohol. Therefore, no outside alcohol or beverages is allowed to be brought onto property.

Barefoot Beach Preserve (not Lely Barefoot) I visited in early April on a Sunday on a warm sunny day so was a bit nervous because of reviews saying how crowded this beach is. But several natives had told me it was a good choice, and although a little farther to go, it would be worth it.

There is are picnic pavilions and a restroom but no other services. This access is maintained by Collier County Parks & Recreation. Parking is $8.
